التصنيف: SBLC & Bank Guarantees

The SBLC & Bank Guarantees section brings together practical guidance on Standby Letters of Credit and bank guarantees used to support payment, performance, advance-payment, tender and contractual obligations. It explains the commercial differences between an SBLC, a documentary credit and a demand guarantee, and describes the roles of the applicant, beneficiary, issuing bank and any advising or confirming bank where applicable. The guides discuss wording, demand conditions, expiry, extension, amendments, documentary requirements and rules such as ISP98, UCP 600 or URDG 758 when those rules are incorporated into a specific instrument. They also explain why a SWIFT message type or a PDF copy should never be treated as sufficient proof that a valid banking undertaking exists; verification belongs within formal bank-to-bank channels. SBLC Trade provides coordination and advisory support so clients can organize the transaction, documents and questions before engaging relevant financial institutions. SBLC Trade is not an issuing bank and does not guarantee that any bank will approve a transaction.
